DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Experience with double side and continuous polishing highly desirable
- Polish spherical optics to tight specifications, using spindle pitch polishing machines
- Must be able to block parts and make polishing laps
- Experience polishing a variety of materials, including fused silica as well as precision glasses
- Comfortable with using interferometer as well as test plates to measure parts
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent education or experience as deemed by ARO Management
- 3+ years of optical polishing experience
- Ability to read and work from technical drawings and instructions
- Methodical, detail-oriented, and organized
- Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Production-minded
- Strong work ethic
- Positive attitude
