About the Role
The Senior Tax Accountant will report to the Tax Director and is primarily responsible for maintaining the company’s compliance with income and withholding tax matters, including the following:
· Compliance with US federal, state & local, and international, income, franchise, and withholding tax laws. Preparation and/or review of annual returns and supporting schedules, ensuring accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.
· Preparation of the annual income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740.
· Preparation of US state and international jurisdiction apportionment schedules.
· Preparation of gross receipts and excise tax returns.
· Calculation of US and international quarterly taxable income projections and distributions.
· Filing and payment of income, franchise, minimum, and withholding tax estimates, payments, and extensions for all jurisdictions.
· Respond to notices regarding US and international income and withholding tax matters.
· Tax technical research and documentation.
· Improve existing income and withholding tax processes by implementing efficiencies, upgrading templates, and setting up electronic filings and payments where possible.
· Support investors, management, governmental agencies, auditors, consultants, and Tax & Accounting colleagues on income and withholding tax matters.
· Assist as needed on sales & use, personal property and/or real estate tax.
About You
· Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or related field.
· 2+ years of partnership or income tax experience.
· Basic knowledge of US GAAP accounting.
· Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications with advanced knowledge of Excel.
· Experience with Microsoft Great Plains, Workday, or CCH research is a plus.
· Ability to take ownership, prioritize workload, and deliver on projects without daily supervision.
· Excellent verbal & written communication skills with an aptitude for team collaboration.
