Role Overview:
As a Staff Software Engineer at Peerlogic, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of AI-driven communication solutions in the medical industry. You will be responsible for leading the development of highly scalable, AI-powered systems that seamlessly integrate with existing workflows, enabling dental practices to operate more effectively. This role involves significant cross-functional collaboration with our product, AI, and DevOps teams to design and deliver innovative solutions that exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive architecture and design discussions, leading the development of core software components.
• Build, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable software systems that integrate seamlessly with practice management software.
• Collaborate closely with AI and DevOps teams to incorporate advanced AI models and voice recognition features.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of growth, curiosity, and technical excellence.
• Own the end-to-end user experience for key features, ensuring intuitive, user-friendly design that meets the needs of busy dental offices.
Requirements:
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in AI or SaaS environments.
• Proficiency in modern web technologies (e.g., Python, Django, React) and familiarity with cloud services (AWS, GCP).
• Strong understanding of agile development practices and excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience in leading architecture discussions and building robust, scalable systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Expertise in AI and machine learning technologies, such as neural networks, natural language processing (NLP), and computer vision.
• Experience with healthcare software systems, particularly electronic health records (EHR) and practice management software.
• Familiarity with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) solutions, including SIP protocols, and experience developing telephony applications.
• Deep knowledge of the dental industry and an understanding of the challenges faced by front-office staff in dental practices.
