Atlas Mechanical, Inc., a privately owned MECHANICAL Sub - Contractor, is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator. This position is an onsite role in the San Diego office and will be assisting the Purchasing Manager with placing and maintaining orders and procures materials for small/short lead time material requests.
Job Summary
The Purchasing Coordinator ensures the accurate and timely purchasing of all items or services to fulfill and meet company requirements.
Specific Duties
- Procures back ordered materials from alternate sources as necessary.
- Assist with placing orders and procures materials for small/short lead time materials requests.
- Assists in routing Purchasing documentation to appropriate approval authorities for action and follows up to ensure prompt action.
- Initiates, organizes and maintains a variety of records and files.
Qualifications:
- Excellent writing and organizational skills are essential.
- Effective communication skills used across multiple internal departments and external contracts as required.
- 2+ years prior purchasing experience, knowledge of HVAC industry a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft office is essential.
- Ability to self-initiate activities, coordinate tasks and manage projects with strong focus and attention to detail and follow-up.
