Role Description
Join our team as a Senior Electrical Engineer and play a pivotal role in transforming the landscape of technology. Demonstrated industry experience in coordinating the design and execution of a hardware product development program from prototype to mass production is a must. Responsibilities:
- PCB Schematic capture and layout for our clients and in-house projects
- System architecture of electronic products
- Design of manufacturing test fixtures and firmware
- Guidance of product through manufacturing
- BOM management, sourcing of parts from suppliers
Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
- 10 year industry experience in hardware or software product development
- 5 year industry experience working with manufacturers
- Proficient in PCB design and manufacturing using tools such as Altium, KiCAD, EAGLE, OrCAD
- Experience with firmware development and PCB bring-up
- Proficient with industry standard collaboration paradigms (Agile, excel, etc)
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively to colleagues
- Ability to work with external stakeholders such as vendors and clients
- Ability to lead, mentor and grow other members of the team.
Ideal candidate traits
- Proficient with embedded firmware development in languages such as C/C++
- Proficiency with Linux kernel development
- Familiar with CI/CD workflows e.g. using Github
This is a hybrid position, requiring in-person presence at our office in Oakland, CA. May require occasional travel to client locations, conferences, etc.
