We are looking for a dynamic, flexible Help Desk Technician to support our IT team for our multi-national company. This is an in-person role in the Houston Office. The main responsibility will be to provide support for IT (Information Technology) needs including responding to helpdesk tickets, escalating matters to the appropriate resource, and helping support project work with the Infrastructure and Development Teams. This opportunity has the potential to touch multiple IT areas and lots of room to grow your skillset. This position is Monday - Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Resolve day-to-day helpdesk issues in a timely manner and provide regular updates to stakeholders on their support requests
- Complete daily monitoring of backup and update reporting
- Assist IT Directors in monitoring assigned helpdesk tickets
- Improve efficiency and effectiveness of helpdesk activity by analyzing and proposing recommendations for improvement
- Verify that suggested solutions effectively resolve the users' problems through verbal or email follow up
- Imaging workstations using Intune and ConnectWise packages
- Work on special projects as assigned
- Recommend updates IT documentation as needed
- Help the firm maintain and improve its IT security posture and IT policies and procedures by setting the standard and educating users when needed.
- Provide desktop, laptop, software and printer support
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have solid helpdesk support experience with Windows 10/11, Office 365 Suite, Active Directory, Exchange Online, and general hardware support.
- Active Directory administration experience necessary (Password reset, Security Groups, GPO)
- Organize and manage IT physical hardware inventory and assist with logistics
- General knowledge of Virus/Malware/Spyware diagnosis and removal techniques
- Must be able to read, analyze, follow, and interpret procedures, manuals, policies, vendor
- Experience with remote access support (VPN, Terminal Services)
- Strong English skills are necessary.
- IT related degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience preferable
