● Technical Skills: Highly proficient in audit and accounting standards. Expected to identify and resolve complex audit issues and provide technical guidance to the team.
● Leadership: Plays a significant role in team development, including mentoring Audit Seniors and other staff. Also involved in performance evaluations, training, and recruiting efforts. In some firms, Audit Managers may also contribute to business development by identifying new opportunities with existing clients
● Accounting Principles: Public accounting professionals must have a solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), depending on the region.
