JOB SUMMARY:

As we continue to scale and drive margin expansion, we are building a robust finance team to support our ambitious growth trajectory. We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager who will play a crucial role in the execution of our strategy and leading planning cycles. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, enhancing financial accountability, and driving initiatives that support our growth and profitability objectives. Working directly with the Vice President of Finance, you will also engage with key internal and external stakeholders including sales, operations, and marketing; private equity (PE) and venture capital (VC) investors, and external financing partners. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact our business significantly and work closely with senior leaders across various functions. This role reports directly to the Vice President of Finance.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic, data-driven, proactive, and detail oriented leader who excels in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. They should be process and systems oriented, resourceful in solving problems, and able to take initiative. This person isn't afraid to 'roll up their sleeves' and operates with a balanced sense of urgency.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Partnership
- Collaborate with the VP of Finance to spearhead critical initiatives and strategic projects
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve financial efficiencies, cash flow management, and margin enhancement to support company growth
- Co-own the pricing matrix and strategy with the VP of Finance, working closely with the Sales team to optimize pricing models
Cross Functional Collaboration to Drive Growth & Margin
- Maintain accountability and performance across functions, ensuring alignment with financial targets and budgets
- Partner with Operations to optimize Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), warehousing, and fulfillment processes to boost margin and profitability
- Build rigor with Sales & Marketing to enable ROI driving investments that accelerate growth for the brand
Financial Planning & Analysis
- Lead & execute the annual operating plan, monthly reporting, and forecasting cycles (S&OP)
- Partner with VP of Finance on long range planning (Strats)
- Analyze P&L variance drivers, historical financial performance, and insights that enables informed decision-making and planning
- Partner closely with the Controller and accounting team through month-end close cycles - accruals, analytical reviews, audits, etc.
- Manage external reporting, requests, and compliance with financing (debt) partners and PE/VC partners, with VP of Finance and Controller
- Annual commercial insurance renewal
- Evaluate planning software or tools, as the business scales
Leadership
- Maintain a ROI and growth mindset
- Partner with VP of Finance on building out of finance team
- Mentor and lead future staff
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in finance, with a strong background in FP&A, sales finance, or strategic finance
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field strongly preferred
- Experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry is required
- Advanced proficiency in Excel required
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite, QuickBooks and DEAR (CIN7) preferred. Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools like PowerBI is advantageous
- Proficiency in planning software and tools is preferred
- Experience with syndicated data (Nielsen, SPINS, IRI, etc) is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Prefer experience with strong supervisory and mentorship skills
