We are looking for a Health and Safety Specialist to ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement effective H&S programs in an industrial setting. You will identify and address workplace hazards, conduct risk assessments, and lead safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of safety standards and practices in industrial environments and a commitment to maintaining a safe workplace.
Your Role:
- Design and implement proactive safety programs to foster a culture of safety awareness and prevent accidents.
- Assess existing safety procedures, identify areas for improvement, and ensure they meet industry best practices.
- Perform thorough safety assessments and inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement preventive measures.
- Provide expert recommendations to mitigate identified risks and enhance safety protocols.
- Develop and deliver engaging safety training programs
- Stay current with company, state, and federal safety regulations, ensuring operations consistently comply with these standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field
- Experience: 5+ years of relevant experience (industrial safety, safety management, safety training, safety auditing, etc.)
- Knowledge: Familiarity with California OSHA regulations and practices
- Certifications: Safety certifications are a PLUS!
