Systems Engineer (MDM – 100% Remote)
Optomi, in partnership with a leader in the home improvement industry, is seeking a Systems Engineer (MDM) for a fully remote role! The right candidate will be able to manage and configure mobile devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing SCCM and centralized configuration management.
Responsibilities of the right candidate:
- Offloading tasks from engineers, including automating processes and executing changes in workforce management tools.
- Reviewing and processing requests from various teams using Workspace 1.
- Managing a diverse workload of operational and deployment tasks.
- Performing daily automation tasks, such as committing changes and executing automated processes.
- Collaborating with teams to set strategy and manage the execution of highly complex tasks.
- Managing store-based workloads with shared devices among team members.
- Managing and configuring mobile devices (approx. 225,000) and Mac devices (approx. 5,000).
Experience of the right candidate:
- Experience managing SSCM (System Center Configuration Manager) and centralized configuration management.
- Mac and mobile centralized management experience.
- Hands-on experience with Workspace 1 (preferred over Intune for mobile device management).
- Familiarity with Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience in deploying highly complex custom code around configuration tools.
- Linux management expertise, especially in-depth Linux Desktop OM environments.
- Strong Mac and mobile management experience with 5,000 Mac devices and 225,000 mobile devices.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for seasoned professionals in configuration management.
- Experience working on automation and executing tactical processes.
- Prior experience with Workspace 1, previously AirWatch acquired by VMware.
