Reporting to the Youth and Family Services Program Director provides child care services to individuals and families.
We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and reliable individual with a high level of self-awareness and emotional intelligence. Essential to this role is a demonstrated ability to work with culturally and economically diverse individuals and families.
Requirements:
- A fully qualified teacher shall have at least 12 semester units in early childhood education from an accredited college, including courses covering child growth and development; child, family, and community; and program/curriculum
- Qualified teachers will meet the requirements outlined by Title 22 for the designated age group
- Candidate must have at least 1 years of experience
- The ability to work as a member of a teaching group, prepare lesson plans, and engage with parents
- Candidate must have the ability to apply for a permit
Work hours are primarily Monday-Friday. Schedule TBD. Delivery of service may include overtime to accomplish the task at hand. Work includes lifting up to 30 pounds. Susceptible to compassion fatigue and/or vicarious trauma.
Required: Cleared background check (fingerprinting), valid TB test, Tdap, Influenza, MMR, CPR certification. This position requires a Covid-19 vaccination due to the in-person interfacing required, and to promote the health and safety of others in the workplace and our community.
