Our Client, a Global Investment Bank, is seeking an Operations Specialist in their Jersey City, NJ location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform tasks such as notification announcement input, instruction receipt and authentication, instruction entry, processing, recording, reporting, acknowledgement, and reconciliation.
- Focus on daily deliverables, ensuring timely execution of defined procedures while gaining an understanding of how individual tasks contribute to the broader business impact.
- Collaborate with senior personnel for thorough review and validation of work.
- Scrub announcements from market data vendors, company information, depositories, and agents.
- Input information into the Corporate Action platform for income and mandatory actions.
- Identify complex corporate events and communicate critical details to the team.
- Process class action suits and client instructions by manually entering data into the Corporate Actions platform.
- Confirm agent communications through the Corporate Actions platform and relay relevant information to clients.
- Communicate written and verbal updates on uninstructed positions to clients daily.
- Manage client account profile requests related to Corporate Actions.
- Enter payments manually into the Corporate Actions platform and reconcile related positions.
- Ensure accurate client cash projections by reconciling receivables and payables.
- Provide phone-based updates on uninstructed positions to clients.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver superior client service.
- Participate in client calls and presentations as needed.
- Identify and address problem items.
- Communicate professionally and efficiently to resolve issues promptly.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency with PC software and ability to recognize, escalate, and resolve issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Team-oriented mindset with the capability to process transactions accurately and on time.
