The Marketing Director plays a pivotal role in shaping the face of the company. In this role, you’ll be responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of the company’s marketing strategy. This role requires a deep understanding of the company’s target market and creating campaigns that drive engagement and get the phones ringing.
You’ll ensure that marketing strategy and KPIs align with our vision and growth objectives. You’ll lead cross-functional teams, often collaborating with sales, consulting, recruiting, and the executive team to ensure a cohesive brand message. You’ll also monitor market trends, oversee the marketing budget and ROI, create sales material, and deploy a mix of traditional and digital marketing tools to expand the company’s reach and influence.
Compensation
Salary: $125,000 - $140,000
Performance bonus: Up to 20%
Total compensation: Up to $168,000
Objectives of this role
- Collaborate with business team to uncover insights for developing marketing and branding strategies for existing and new products, services, and client industries
- Oversee and grow the marketing department by identifying revenue opportunities among established clients and by helping the sales team secure new accounts
- Understand key performance metrics and tracking tools for market research, forecasts, competitor analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends, and translate results into actionable insights for the marketing and sales teams
Responsibilities
- Lead development of marketing strategy by working closely with clients, managers, creatives, content providers, and distribution partners to create effective plans focused on growing the audience for our products and services
- Spearhead the execution of marketing campaigns, including test and control group segmentation, testing, tracking, results reporting, analyses, and recommendations
- Manage conception, development, and implementation of marketing plans and strategy, product concepts, and promotional programs to drive customer interest and sales
- Manage a team of marketers and creatives and the prioritization of their projects
- Conduct meetings regularly with internal teams to review pipeline, resolve challenges, and brainstorm possible solutions, and provide training to ensure the team is consistently performing above standard
- Support attendance at conventions, conferences, webinars, and trade shows, preparing engaging displays and collateral
Required skills and qualifications
- 8+ years of marketing experience with 2+ years as a marketing director
- Successful track record in a senior marketing role and campaign creation
- Excellent leadership, communication, and data-driven decision-making skills
- Experience in digital and print marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
- Proven ability to plan and manage budgets
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Marketing experience in staffing, consulting, and B2B
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in marketing, advertising, or communications
- Proficiency with HTML, content management systems, and design software
- Desire to grow professionally through ongoing education
