Boulon Brasserie is currently hiring an ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER to join our team.
Boulon Brasserie, located in downtown Tampa, pays homage to the beloved French bistro, where good food, good wine and better company come together to create unmistakable joie de vivre. Three district dining experiences – restaurant, bar, and café. Boulon’s menu highlights locally sourced ingredients, fresh caught seafoods and modern interpretations of classic French pastries.
The AGM will work closely with the GM and ownership to oversee daily operations of the restaurant, build and lead the team and connect with guests. A solid business acumen with financial and inventory management skills are a must.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 3 years’ experience as a GM or Assistant General Manager in a high volume, fast-paced, upscale restaurant.
- Passionate about hospitality with an in-depth knowledge of food, wine and refined cocktails
- Strong computer skills. Experience with Microsoft Office, Toast point-of-sale system, HotSchedules, Open Table, Restaurant R365 is a plus
- Knowledgeable of operational management procedures not limited to budgetary discipline, property management, staff supervision, inventory management and food safety protocols
- Strong communication skills. Written and verbal (1:1 and in a group setting).
- Able to understand, speak and follow written and verbal instruction in English
- Ability to demonstrate discretion and leadership in complex employee relations matters.
- The ability to stay positive and calm under pressure.
- A strong work ethic and a desire to learn and grow.
- Must be able to obtain food safety and responsible alcohol service certifications.
- Flexible and dependable to work full-time day or night shifts, weekends and holidays, up to 50 a week.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to balance and carry trays, multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses
- Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time
- Must have the ability to lift, push, pull approximately 25lbs.
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for up to 10 hours during a single shift, while possibly navigating ramps, stairs, and elevators.
