Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Architectural Sales Representative for the Tampa/St. Pete Market to join Florida's leading composite deck dealer and installer. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in architectural sales and an established network within the construction industry, particularly with high-end custom, production home builders, commercial, and multi-family projects. This role requires the ability to build and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, general contractors, custom builders, and shell contractors. Experience in related fields such as metal pan, structural steel, concrete, structural contracting, precast deck, and roof systems is highly desirable.
In this role, the candidate will also work closely with structural engineers and specialty engineers to assist in the design and layout of projects, ensuring seamless integration of our products into the overall project scope. If you have a passion for construction and a background in structural components and building, we provide extensive training to ensure success in this position. This role offers a salary plus commission compensation package, with significant growth and earning potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Identify, qualify, and target potential clients, including architects, engineers, general contractors, custom builders, and shell contractors.
- Establish and maintain strong professional relationships with clients in high-end custom, commercial, and multi-family sectors.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and site visits to understand project needs and present suitable solutions.
Sales Process Management:
- Develop and manage a robust sales pipeline through cold calling, networking, industry events, and referrals.
- Deliver tailored presentations and proposals aligned with company offerings to close deals.
- Negotiate terms and finalize sales agreements, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
Industry Knowledge & Market Development:
- Stay informed on market trends, competitor activities, and construction industry advancements, particularly in deck and roof systems.
- Collaborate with the Ownership and Project Management team to strategize promotional campaigns and expand market reach.
- Provide valuable market insights and recommend growth opportunities to senior leadership.
Collaboration & Team Integration:
- Work closely with structural engineers and specialty engineers on the design and layout of projects, ensuring product compatibility with project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and other internal teams to ensure seamless project execution post-sale.
- Clearly communicate client expectations to delivery teams to guarantee project success.
- Participate in regular sales meetings to share market insights and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, construction management, or a related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in architectural sales or a related role within the construction industry.
- Experience with metal pan, structural steel, concrete, or precast deck systems is highly advantageous.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and building relationships in the construction sector.
- Experience working with structural and specialty engineers is a plus.
- Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel within Tamps/St. Pete frequently to meet clients and visit project sites (75%+ travel required).

Compensation:
This position offers a competitive salary structure with no cap on earning potential.
Physical Requirements:
- Regular travel to client meetings and construction sites.
- Ability to lift and move light materials (up to 10 lbs.) occasionally.
