The Human Resources Manager will lead all HR functions, focusing on effective recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and organizational development. This role will support the company’s mission by cultivating a positive work environment and implementing initiatives that boost employee engagement and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Staffing:
- Design and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Manage the entire recruitment cycle, from job postings and interviewing to onboarding.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a trusted advisor to management and staff, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts.
- Foster a culture of open communication and ongoing feedback.
- Performance Management:
- Implement performance management systems aligned with organizational objectives.
- Organize training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career advancement.
- Compliance & Policies:
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Review and update HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Oversee payroll and benefits administration.
- Conduct salary surveys and analyze compensation trends to maintain competitive offerings.
- Organizational Development:
- Partner with leadership to drive initiatives for organizational change and development.
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of HR experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong understanding of HR practices, employment laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
- Experience in the nonprofit or media sector.
