LHH is seeking a Senior Engineering Project Manager for a Direct Hire, Permanent Placement position with a manufacturing client in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will provide leadership and direction to a small team of Project Managers while also directly and/or indirectly managing a variety of projects related to new product development. You will contribute to the overall vision of the engineering department, interface and meet with customer organizations, assist with the quotation process during the new product development process, and more. The compensation is commensurate to experience and ranges between $100,000-110,000 per year and includes a comprehensive benefit package, Paid Time Off, 401K program with a company match, and more.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the oversight of a team of Project Managers
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team to establish and lead projects which support the growth of the organization
- Effectively partner with product design, project management, and sales/marketing teams to establish project plans, tasks, resources, and ownership to ensure timelines are met
- Provide support during the development process of new products, product changes, and product testing
- Meet with clients and spearhead quotation during the new product development process
- Determine prototype and development capacities and capabilities
- Manage budgets, develop cost savings initiatives, and achieve all cost reduction savings targets
- Monitor workload, project capacity, and develop strong relationships with business colleagues
- Coordinate internal and external resources for the successful planning and execution of projects
- Work proactively to remove project obstacles, identify, and manage issue escalations, and provide support to teams balancing competing priorities
- Actively drive the enhancement of project management processes, tooling, and templates to improve the project management function
- Provide timely status reports and program summaries including scope/schedule/quality risks, project status, resource allocation and customer impact
- Identify and manage costs associated with project budgets
- Create and document new processes as required.
- Collaborate with business leaders to ensure that all appropriate safety and compliance regulations are being met at all times
- Stay abreast of industry trends and market developments in your respective categories
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Operations Management, Business, and/or Supply Chain Management is required
- Strong preference for candidates who possess a PMP Certification
- Must have 5+ years of experience serving as an Engineering Project Manager within a manufacturing facility
- Must have 5+ years of engineering experience with new product development
- Must have 5+ years of experience within automotive manufacturing
- Must have 3+ years of experience leading a team of Engineers and/or Project Managers
- Strong preference toward candidates with experience designing and/or editing product designs in a CAD software system
- Must be a high-performing goal setter who can motivate others
- Must possess a track record of being a results-driven person who consistently meets and exceeds organizational goals
- Must be a natural problem-solver who possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills
