U.S. Immigration Law Firm, Law offices of Jacob J Sapochnick is growing and developing law firm in the USA that specializes in business, employment, investment, and family immigration to the USA.
The law firm is known for providing its best to the clients by offering creative and strategic legal solutions. We are looking for the new team member, case manager – paralegal, to join our team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparing and drafting legal briefs, support letters, attorneys' cover letters, forms, statements for family based immigration cases. Conduct thorough legal research and analysis.
- Working closely with legal professionals and U.S. attorneys to understand the strategy of the case and make sure it is implemented.
- Communicate with client - Client communication and excellent customer service is key at the Law Office of Jacob Sapochnick.
- Document Collection - Review and analyze client documents. Assemble cases for filing, prepare and organize exhibits.
- Researching unique legal issues by identifying applicable statutes and judicial decisions
- Making sure that clients understand the strategy and steps of the process and lead status updates calls with clients.
- Raising any issues that might delay the petition and report it to attorney and senior legal professionals.
- Reviewing documentation provided by clients and make sure that client has been informed about all missing documents in advance.
- Making sure that the petition is ready in advance for the mid and final reviews of the attorney and that cases are submitted timely.
Requirements:
- Excellent writing and communication skills, strong background in legal research and analysis, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- B.A. Degree in Law or in Social Studies or Political Sciences or English studies or closely related. Other types of degrees and advanced training may be substituted. This will be handled upon completing the hiring test and your screening.
- Previous legal or immigration experience preferred but not required.
- Extraordinary research and creative writing skills
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent proofreading skills.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to work under pressure, work within competing deadlines, and prioritize workload effectively.
- Ability to take an assignment from inception to completion with minimal supervision or by following broad guide
- The ability to learn quickly new applications, ability to work in team oriented environment.
