Job Description
This position is responsible for the calculation, design, and preparation of construction drawings necessary for the assessment and/or construction of electrical power distribution systems (600V), medium voltage electrical distribution (2.4kV-12kV), lighting and lighting controls, and other electrical systems for renovation and new construction of buildings and facilities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Preparation of engineering studies, calculations, and design drawings.
· Site investigations to determine equipment conditions and configurations.
· Attend project meetings to discuss design considerations and progress.
· Apply National Electrical Code requirements and knowledge to engineering designs to create innovative and cost-effective solutions.
· Preparation of design documentation and compliance with design schedules.
· AutoCad and/or Revit drafting of electrical construction documents including drawing setup, layering, xrefs, 3D modeling, circuiting, and detailing.
Job Requirements
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with course work in electrical power engineering
· PE (Licensed Professional Engineer) in State of California a plus
· LEED Accredited Professional a plus
· 1-5 years of relevant work experience
· Experience in AutoCAD software and MS Office
· Taken the FE exam or will take within the next year
· Electrical - Knowledge of 3-phase power systems calculations and modeling. Recommended knowledge includes National Electrical Code requirements, electrical construction, electrical distribution applications, and motor theory.
· Design - Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of engineering calculations, plans and product selection.

· Strong detailed skills, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
· AutoCAD MEP and Revit software
· Good understanding of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel and Word
