Job Title: Head of Sales (Apparel brand)
Candidates in tech, software, and advertising sales will not be considered.
Chicka-d is seeking a Head of Sales with extensive sales leadership experience in apparel, fashion, soft goods or other related product categories to lead and drive our sales team. This role will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans, managing and training the sales team (inside and outside sales) and achieving revenue targets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales leadership, strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, and the ability to foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Direction:
- Align with CEO/CFO on company growth targets and develop a sales strategy to accomplish set goals.
- Research market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for growth
- Stay informed about competitor activities, and industry developments.
Leadership and Management:
- Lead and manage the sales team (inside and outside), ensuring goals, targets and performance metrics are met.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement by implementing KPI structure and performance matrix.
- Establish structure and process.
- Develop, implement, conduct training sessions and call reviews to enhance the team’s skills (upselling, deal strategy, focused initiatives).
- Recruit, hire and onboard new sales team members
Sales Operations:
- Lead sales team meetings and 1:1 meetings to create transparency and a clear understanding on how the team tracks/ progresses towards targets by reviewing current sales pipeline (leads, prospects, actual sales, on hand orders, forecast, remaining balance).
- Support high-value deals, including strategy and execution.
Collaboration:
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams on go-to-market strategies and sales assets.
- Provide insights to the product team for product development and improvements.
- Work closely with customer service and operations teams to ensure a cohesive approach to customer acquisition and retention.
- Work closely with CEO/CFO to establish sales targets and progress of those goals.

- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic sales planning and execution experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with sales performance metrics and financial management.
- Ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
Desired Skills:
- 10+ years experience in apparel sales, or other adjacent industry
- Proficiency with CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of market trends and competitive landscape.
