Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist III with expertise in biophysics, particularly in Biolayer Interferometry (BLI) and Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), to contribute to our research and development efforts in biological drug development. This role involves performing experiments focused on binding kinetics, providing technical insights across multiple project teams, and ensuring the integrity and compliance of scientific operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced knowledge and application of BLI and SPR techniques for screening and characterization of binding kinetics.
- Conduct experiments that align with core group and research goals, utilizing expert knowledge in kinetic analysis related to biological drug development.
- Analyze experimental outcomes, propose follow-up investigations, and ensure high ethical standards in data reporting and processing.
- Effectively communicate findings orally and in writing; contribute to the development of protocols, procedures, and technical reports.
- Automate the processing of experimental data and ensure timely reporting and delivery of results.
- Maintain a safe and compliant laboratory environment, adhering to SOPs and policies while keeping accurate records.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, providing support and troubleshooting expertise as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in a relevant scientific discipline with 3+ years of experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant scientific discipline with 7+ years of experience, or equivalent experience in the field.
- Proficiency in assay development, including ELISA and bioassays.
- Strong background in protein biochemistry and working with antibodies.
- Experience in writing protocols and technical documentation.
- Familiarity with drug discovery processes and biotherapeutics.
- Experience with multiple biosensor platforms is highly advantageous.
