Job Overview:
One of our clients in Providence, RI, is transitioning from PeopleSoft & Lawson to Workday and is seeking a skilled Project Manager to assist in the early stages of this implementation. The ideal candidate will focus on driving the project forward, ensuring team members stay on task, and keeping project deliverables organized. This role involves scheduling meetings, documenting meeting notes, and generally supporting the HRIS Manager in overseeing a smooth Workday implementation.
Candidates with previous healthcare or hospital project management experience and familiarity with ERP transitions are highly preferred. There is potential for this role to extend into a long-term opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Coordination: Drive the Workday implementation project, ensuring milestones are met, tasks are completed on time, and stakeholders are aligned.
- Task Management: Help the HRIS team by organizing and managing project deliverables, ensuring all team members stay on track.
- Meeting Support: Schedule project-related meetings, take comprehensive notes, and ensure follow-up on action items.
- Documentation: Document and track project progress, creating reports and summaries for the HRIS Manager and other stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear and consistent communication across project teams and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency.
- Issue Tracking: Proactively identify and address issues that may hinder project progress, escalating where necessary.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in project management, ideally within the healthcare or hospital industry.
- ERP Project Experience: Previous experience managing projects related to ERP systems, with Workday implementation being a significant advantage.
- Project Management Skills: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to drive tasks to completion while juggling multiple priorities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly document meeting notes and deliverables.
- Healthcare Background: Experience working in healthcare or hospital environments is a major plus.
- HR Project Experience: Experience with HRIS or HR-related projects is highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience with Workday or other ERP implementations.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
