Spanish Multinational Corporation is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team in Texas developing museum contents.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Main descriptions of the job position:
- Assist the Project Manager in the running of the project.
- Review and approve contractor's health, safety, and environmental plans, risk assessments, and method statements to ensure compliance with legal and client requirements before starting the works.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive health, safety, and environmental training to consultant employees, including induction and safe working practices.
- Supervise a team of HSE Inspectors to ensure adherence to HSE plan at project sites, meeting all legal and client requirements.
- Supervise HSE Inspectors to ensure the implementation of health and safety arrangements at site, complying with legal and client requirements.
- Ensure HSE Inspectors follow up on contractor's incident investigation reports, ensuring identification and closure of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Schedule daily morning site visits across project sites to verify the implementation of HSE measures before work begins.
- Conduct weekly joint HSE inspections with HSE Inspectors and contractors HSE representatives, ensuring prompt closure of all corrective/preventive actions.
- Coordinate HSE meetings with the Client, IDOM project staff, and contractors.
- Conduct regular site safety visits.
ABOUT YOU
- Native English speaker. Spanish will be valued.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Qualified with relevant HSE Qualifications.
- Applicable Experience: over 12 years.
- Excellent communication skills
- Report writing skills, social skills, communication, teamwork, problem solving, autonomy, flexibility, and technical rigor.
- Willingness to work in a multinational environment firm.
