Warehouse Manager
Great opportunity to join a growing business. This new position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the food grade distribution center. This position is also responsible for managing a team of warehouse and office employees and delivery drivers to ensure that all orders are shipped and delivered in a timely manner. The Warehouse Manager will manage the physical inventory in support of internal manufacturing and vender supplied Inventory.
Location
This position is a 100% in-person role in Pottstown, PA. The successful candidate will be expected to work in person on all scheduled workdays.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage Inventory.
- Manage the inbound and outbound flow of all materials.
- Facilitate timely and accurate deliveries.
- Manage operations including picking, receiving, loading, inventory control, etc.
- Manage, coach and develop warehouse employees and delivery drivers to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills.
- Manage fleet and equipment to insure maintenance and safety compliance.
- Provide leadership to recruit, retain and develop an engaged, high-performing team in a manner that supports the company’s objective, goals, strategies, measures, and always in a way that is consistent with core values.
- Coaching team on safety and makes recommendations for corrective action and/or behavior modification where required.
- Manage and approve time off requests
- Develop, maintain and review processes for order to ensure accuracy targets are achieved.
- Provide excellent and timely customer service.
- Responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy targets are met.
- Maintain the overall condition of the food grade warehouse including cleanliness, safety, and organization.
- Expected to be hands on when needed.
- Lead WMS buildout for site
- Maintain, audit, and develop standard work for associates
- Provide daily reporting of KPI’s
- Facilitate and manage best practices across functions.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Experience in managing food-based distribution facility.
- Ability to manage a team of individuals and delegate when needed
- Experience leading and influencing team through supervisory levels
- Experience working & collaborating with cross functional partners in problem solving and strategies.
- Prior Management experience preferred
- Forklift certification preferred but not required
- Professional and positive appearance and attitude
- Communications skills a must
- Troubleshooting skills a must
- Systems knowledge including but not limited to Word, Excel,MS platforms, UPS Worldship, NetSuite ERP, or like applications
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time, may require off hours availability
- Experience in working autonomously to manage day to day activities and overall operations of the distribution.
- Comfortable in managing conflicting priorities in a fast pace environment.

- Monday to Friday- Hours may vary. OT will be required at times. 7:30am-4:00pm.
