Meituan launched its drone delivery project in 2017, aiming to improve the efficiency of urban on-demand delivery through technological innovation. After six years of research and development, Meituan has established a complete drone delivery system, including high-performance drones, automated airports, and intelligent dispatch systems.
In July 2023, Meituan launched its fourth-generation drone, which has excellent environmental adaptability and can stably fly in extreme weather conditions such as -20°C to 50°C, moderate rain, moderate snow, and 6-level winds. This model can meet the flight requirements of over 97% of Chinese cities.
As of the end of June 2024, Meituan drones have opened 31 routes in cities such as Shenzhen, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, and have completed over 300,000 orders. On-demand retail delivery services cover a variety of scenarios including offices, communities, scenic spots, municipal parks, campuses, and libraries, and can deliver 92,000 types of goods to users. In medical scenarios, Meituan drones can build end-to-end, all-weather emergency delivery networks to meet the delivery needs of medical blood, test samples, pre-hospital emergency supplies, and special drugs.
You will...
- Own, Architect, and Implement a reliable and high-performance Linux OS/platform for the entire MTUAV hardware product family.
- Lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver quality NPI board bring-up.
- Debug complex systems. Characterize power and performance. Design and implement tools for fast diagnostics and troubleshooting.
- Develop and manage the roadmap for MTUAV OS/Platform, including priorities, scope, planning, and deliverables.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, demonstrating exceptional engineering practices, methodical problem-solving skills, and technical leadership in design, coding, review, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
- MS or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related engineering majors
- 10+ years of experience with Linux kernel / platform software development
- Familiar with Linux kernel development and customization, drivers, kernel level debugging, performance profiling and optimzation, etc.
- Familiar with major SoC vendor BSP integration. Experienced in board bring-up (with sensors, ISPs, ethernet, WiFi, USB, PCIe, GPUs, HW accelerators, etc.).
- MUST be hands-on with strong proficiency in C, C++ and Shell.
- MUST have commercial HW product launch experience.
- Proven track record to work as a Linux OS/Platform key contributor or owner through the entire product R&D cycle, including post-launch continuous iteration and improvement.
- Proven track record to exemplify engineering excellence in design, development and testing, and influence the teams.
- Excellent communication skills, strong in critical thinking and problem solving.
- Strongly self-motivated, self-managing, with exceptional technical leadership and ownership.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ARM HW/SW security architecture
- Experience in robotics R&D, e.g. drones, self-driving cars, general robotics
- Experience with HW product factory tooling and manufacturing process.
- Team management experience is preferred, but not required.
