Fleet Mechanic - $22.00-$28.00 Per Hour + Excellent Benefits- Akron, OH
The Role

As a Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all fleet vehicles, trailers and equipment operate efficiently.
We offer an annual tool allowance, uniforms, flexible hours and we can guarantee overtime. Pay is based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Performs tune-ups, brake jobs, and other preventative maintenance on cars, trucks, trailers, and other powered rolling equipment.
- Dismantle and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
- Diagnose failures of vehicles and disassemble, repair, and reassemble parts as necessary.
- Computer-based diagnostics; interface with modern truck interfaces
- Basic computer use (email and web browser)
- Adherence to DOT regulations
- Maintain vehicle records as required.
- Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are always kept in a safe and usable condition.
- Perform miscellaneous yard work that may include loading and unloading OTR trailers.

The Person
- High School Diploma or GED
- Mechanical- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Related Experience- Previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is needed.
- Repairing- Repairing fleet equipment or systems using the needed tools.
- Troubleshooting-Diagnose operating failures and take corrective action
- DOT---Training in DOT Inspections preferred
