Title: Acquisition Analyst
Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Benefits
Location: Morris County, NJ
An Acquisition Analyst role has arisen with a rapidly growing, full-service real estate firm in New Jersey. The Acquisition Analyst will be responsible for identifying and analyzing potential real estate investment opportunities across multiple commercial and residential properties. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, be adept at financial modeling, and have an effective understanding of market trends.
About the Acquisition Analyst role:
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive Excel and Argus financial models to underwrite and assess property acquisitions, developments, and dispositions with a focus on yield-on-cost, IRR, equity multiple, and cash-on-cash metrics
- Analyze, negotiate, and close acquisitions, hotel management agreements, senior mortgages, construction loans, and other credit facilities
- Provide complex financial analysis for ground-up development projects, joint ventures and other equity investments, mezzanine lending, major lease transactions, portfolio asset management, and ad hoc projects
- Conduct market research to identify and evaluate potential acquisition opportunities in residential, commercial, and industrial sectors
- Collaborate with the acquisitions team to develop and implement acquisition strategies aligned with company objectives
- Conduct due diligence, including financial analysis, property inspections, and market assessments to inform acquisition decisions
Qualifications:
- Experience using ARGUS required
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in real estate acquisitions, capital markets, investment analysis, or a related field
- Strong analytical and due diligence abilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Compensation: $90,000 - $120,000 Base Salary + Bonus + Benefits
