PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Sustainability Project Manager will have direct responsibility for overseeing and executing projects that support the Environmental Affairs (EA) department strategy, which includes a focus on Leading with Excellence, Decarbonization of Facilities and Fleets, GHG Inventory Management, Systems and Tools, Grants and Funding, and Reporting and Disclosure. More specifically, the role will support projects such as, but not limited to: Renewable energy projects, EPA program management, building energy efficiency projects, waste and recycling efforts, LEED project support, annual voluntary and compliance sustainability disclosures, customer surveys as well as grants and funding support. The role will also assist in strategizing the expansion of existing programs such as LEED to help Penske maintain its position as a sustainability leader in our industry.

Lead execution and expansion of initiatives that support the company’s decarbonization strategy.
- Manage key partners and ensure successful completion of solar and energy projects to expand our renewable energy portfolio
- Manage completion of annual GHG emissions inventory accounting
- Support LEED for volume program by tracking projects to completion, providing regular status updates, look for efficiencies and cost-savings, manage compliance with annual attestations to GBCI, manage education and promotion for certification, and provide support to scale program to other certification programs (i.e., O&M).
- Work collaboratively across our department to successfully execute efficiency programs across our portfolio including, but not limited to: LED retrofits, building controls and HVAC upgrades.
- Lead the development of a sustainable materials management plan.
- Support decarbonization activities in line with customer and project goals

- Ensure efficient and accurate completion of required voluntary and compliance ESG and climate disclosures such as CDP, Ecovadis, customer surveys, Green Power Partnership certification, etc.

$60-85K
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
