This candidate will be responsible for the development, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of quality assurance processes. Throughout the implementation and maintenance process, this candidate should use data analysis to better understand quality reporting measures and improve processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for products in prototype, pre-launch, and production phases.
- Ensure compliance with IATF/ISO standards by reviewing and updating APQP, Corrective Action Reports (CAR), risk mitigation efforts, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) data.
- Support new projects and prototype development to ensure quality is maintained throughout the process.
- Provide training and implement quality tools such as SPC, root cause analysis, and gauging techniques.
- Monitor process capabilities to meet customer requirements.
- Facilitate Six Sigma quality projects and Lean/Kaizen continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), gage studies, and process capability studies.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in engineering, statistics, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Six Sigma, Lean, and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Knowledge of IATF/ISO standards and experience in maintaining compliance.
