The Director of Professional Services is responsible for managing the professional services teams that deliver installation, programming and design work for ProShip’s enterprise customers. Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company's Professional Services strategy, including staffing, performance, incentive programs, forecasts and quarterly review of results.
- Build and lead a high-performing Professional Services team, providing leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members. Manage and successfully deliver training for new engineers and ensure compliance and performance KPI’s are met.
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understand their business needs, challenges, and objectives and provide strategic guidance and recommendations to support their success. Successfully manage transitions from Sales to PS and from PS to Support.
- Provide oversight and guidance on project management methodologies, tools, and processes to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Optimize resource allocation and capacity planning to maximize efficiency and utilization of Professional Services resources.
- Drive service innovation and continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging industry best practices, emerging technologies, and client feedback to enhance service offerings.
Qualifications
- Experience in Logistics, specifically small parcel and LTL. An ideal candidate should be familiar with major carriers, pricing, and products.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve goals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Proven experience in project management methodologies and tools, with certification in project management (e.g., PMP) preferred.
- Knowledge of consulting best practices, service delivery frameworks, and industry standards.
- Experience in managing customer scope of work and able to identify and document changes when necessary.
- Managing project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex project issues and provide actionable insights.

- Must have the ability to withstand prolonged periods of sustained computer usage.
- Able to handle stress and pressure of workflow and deadlines.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and colleagues; includes in-person, telephonic and electronic communications.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Five (5) years of work experience in information technology or engineering environment with demonstrated leadership experience.
