Purpose of the Position
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Vice President of Human Resources for our client to lead our Human Resources function and drive HR initiatives aligned with the company’s objectives.
The HR Leader will oversee all team members and aspects of HR Operations, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, payroll, compensation, and benefits, HRIS management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the company’s mission, and business objectives. Partner with leadership to align HR goals with overall organizational goals.
- Plan, develop, and implement policies, processes, technology, and initiatives to support the organization's human resource compliance and strategy needs.
- Oversee the administration of human resource programs including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention strategies; compensation, benefits, and payroll; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale.
- Implement and manage performance management processes. Drive a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Oversee payroll, compensation and benefits programs that are competitive, cost effective and compliant. Monitor market trends and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Research, develop and implement competitive compensation, benefits, performance and employee incentive programs.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the human resource team; assist with resolution of escalated questions, concerns and issues.
- Manage the HRIS system and ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security. Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's human resource information system (HRIS) to drive informed decision making and measuring HR effectiveness.
- Monitor and ensure the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; review and modify policies and practices to maintain compliance and a positive employer brand.
- Develop and implement department budget.
- Facilitate professional development, training, and certification activities for HR staff.
- Flexibility in work hours as needed to support the business requirements. Some domestic
- Travel may be required - less than 25%.
- The role is hybrid based in the greater Milwaukee area. The client is open to relocatable talent.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train staff in the department.
- Oversee the daily workflow of the department.
- Provide constructive and timely performance feedback.
- Handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- At least ten years of progressive human resource leadership experience required.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to align HR initiatives with organizational goals.
- Deep knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Proven track record of driving HR best practices and fostering a positive organizational culture.
