The Opportunity:
To help the Construction Project Manager support the Wholesale and Retail teams execute new builds and maintain current builds for growing portfolio of BYREDO boutique stores and department stores across North America.
Support new boutique and counter development in partnership with the Construction Project Manager in a luxury environment by completing projects to deadline, working with external stakeholders, and providing updates to current teams.
What you’ll get to do:
Collaborate with global design team to understand vision and branding objectives of new construction for both retail and wholesale locations
- Review, redline, and approve all construction documents to ensure designs are accurate and consistent with the brand standards, especially between the architectural and design blueprints
- Assist procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers with local architect and design studio
- Conduct design briefings alongside Retail Project Manager and outline core details and expectations of the design project for vendors
- Ensure all aspects of the project aligns with global Byredo guidelines and goals
- Maintain and foster external relationships with general contractors, fixture contractors, local architects, and design studios.
- Work closely with luxury department store design and construction teams, to ensure seamless communication regarding deliverables
- Identify and propose solutions to resolve issues that can adversely impact project schedule, cost, or design integrity on multiple projects
- Travel domestically to wholesale (department stores) and boutique locations to ensure projects and construction are going smoothly and up to Byredo standards
- Manage and oversee invoice/ requisitions from vendors, and design studio
- Oversee communication and documentation of project with local architect and design studio
- Work in tandem with cross-functional teams such as Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Retail & Wholesale teams to ensure a cohesive message across all channels
- Oversee and manage all repairs and maintenance needs across the portfolio of boutiques by keeping a pipeline of reliable and local General Contractors
We’d love to meet you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Degree in architecture, interior design, or other relevant disciplines a plus
- 3-4 years of Project Management experience
- Ability to understand, read, and evaluate architectural and design blueprints/ renderings
- Experience with SAP and AUTOCAD a plus
- Excellent project and timeline management skills
- Proactive, reliable, and detail oriented softskills
- Ability to travel domestically, up to 40% for on-site visits
- Excellent analytical and management skills to meet all project deadlines in an environment of change and shifting priorities
Compensation:
As required by New York State’s salary transparency law, effective November 2022, the expected base salary for this position ranges from $85,000.00 – $95,000.00. Various factors are considered when extending offers, such as relevant skillset, training, years of experience related to the current job description, education, and our organizational structure.
