Job Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior HR Generalist with a strong background in employee relations for a temporary position starting in November and ending in March. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling a wide range of HR activities, including employee relations, performance management, HR compliance, and policy development. This role will act as a key advisor to employees and managers, providing support in resolving complex workplace issues while ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances. Investigate and resolve complaints in a fair and consistent manner.
- Performance Management:
- Partner with managers to provide coaching and support on performance management, including employee evaluations, goal setting, and feedback discussions.
- Policy Development & Compliance:
- Assist in developing, implementing, and enforcing HR policies and procedures. Ensure the company’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including EEO, FMLA, FLSA, and other regulations.
- HR Strategy & Programs:
- Collaborate with HR leadership to execute company-wide HR initiatives, including employee engagement programs, diversity & inclusion strategies, and talent development.
- Training & Development:
- Identify employee training needs and support the development and facilitation of HR-related training programs, including conflict resolution, harassment prevention, and performance improvement.
- Compensation & Benefits:
- Assist in the administration of compensation programs, including salary reviews and benefits administration. Provide guidance to employees on benefits and compensation-related inquiries.
- HR Metrics & Reporting:
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics to identify trends and provide recommendations for improvement. Prepare regular reports on employee relations issues, turnover, and other HR activities.
- Onboarding & Offboarding:
- Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, and exit processes. Conduct exit interviews and use feedback to improve employee retention and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations.
- Solid understanding of employment laws and regulations (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, EEO, ADA).
- Proven ability to manage and resolve complex employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
