About the Role:
A Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects on-site, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role involves coordinating various aspects of the construction process, from planning through to project completion, while managing resources, stakeholders, and contractors.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
o 8+ years of experience in construction
o Experience in fast paced remodel, tenant-improvement, multi-site roll out
o Strong background with Big-Box Retail, QSR/Fast Casual Restaurants
o Ability to manage multiple sites and crews/teams at any given time
o Good understanding of MEP Building Systems
o Familiarity with Project Management software
Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of the Senior Project Manager include but are not limited to:
Strategic Project Leadership:
· Lead the planning and execution of high-impact projects, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and objectives.
· Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, while adapting to changes and emerging needs.
Cross-Functional Team Management:
· Assemble and manage cross-functional project teams, providing clear direction, motivation, and support to drive performance and achieve project milestones.
· Foster a collaborative environment, facilitating effective communication and coordination among team members and stakeholders.
Budget and Resource Oversight:
· Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, tracking, and financial reporting.
· Optimize resource utilization and procurement strategies to achieve project goals within budgetary constraints.
Risk Management and Problem Solving:
· Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address them proactively.
· Resolve complex project issues and obstacles swiftly, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and deliverables.
Stakeholder Communication and Engagement:
· Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including executives, clients, and team members.
· Communicate project status, progress, and changes effectively through regular updates, reports, and presentations.
Schedule Management:
· Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring timely completion of all project phases.
· Monitor progress, make necessary adjustments, and address any deviations from the planned schedule.
Quality Assurance:
· Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that deliverables meet or exceed organizational standards and client expectations.
· Conduct regular project reviews and inspections to assess quality and performance.
Documentation and Reporting:
· Ensure comprehensive documentation of all project activities, including plans, reports, and change orders.
· Prepare and present detailed project status reports and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
Change Management:
· Lead change management activities related to project scope, ensuring smooth transitions and effective adaptation to changes.
· Manage scope creep and assess the impact of changes on project timelines, budget, and resources.
