a. Model and reflect at all times the mission and goal of the PromiseLand Child Care program.
b. Follow the guidance of the Director yet be able to function in the absence of the Director.
c. Be responsible for the guidance of his/her group at all times and keep records on each child’s progress.
d. Attend scheduled staff meetings and parent meetings.
e. Acquire a minimum of 15 hours of approved professional training each year.
f. Work well with parents and other staff to provide the best possible care for children at the center.
g. Be responsible for the arrangement, maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the classroom and shared spaces, including toys and equipment.
h. Is ultimately responsible to the Director and PromiseLand Board for all that occurs in his/her classroom.
i. Participate in school fund-raisers as needed.
j. Be open-minded and able to work with many different personalities in a positive manner.
k. Model and demonstrate appropriate behavior and dress at all times.

m. Provide special activity concentrations: (See Developmental Milestones for 3 – 5 years olds. Healthychildren.org)
n. Ensure that confidentiality is primary in all dealings with children, parents, and co-workers.
o. Be familiar with and follow the Day Care OCFS licensing requirements.
p. Interact with the children in a variety of activities on the floor, at children’s table, and outside side. Responsibilities include being able to lift a child from the floor and having free mobility of movement.
