Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and diligent Data Validation Analyst to join our Data and Analytics team. Reporting to the Data Engineering Manager, the Data Validation Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of ingested and modeled data. In this role, you’ll validate data flows, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with team members to enhance data reliability.

What You Will Do:
- Validate the accuracy of ingested data from various sources, ensuring completeness and correct formatting.
- Perform quality checks on modeled data within the Snowflake data warehouse to ensure consistency with business rules.
- Develop and maintain data validation reports using Excel and Jira to track discrepancies.
- Use SQL queries to conduct spot checks and analyze data for quality assurance.
- Collaborate with the development team to provide feedback on data quality issues and understand data requirements.
- Communicate findings from quality assurance checks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Assist in managing small projects related to data validation and improvements.
- Document data validation processes for continuous improvement and transparency.
What We Are Looking For:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data manipulation techniques.
- Basic knowledge of SQL for querying and validating data.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain data quality issues to both technical and business audiences.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and small projects.
- High attention to detail and focus on data accuracy and problem-solving.
Bonus Points:
- Prior experience in data validation or quality assurance roles.
- Familiarity with Snowflake data warehouses and data modeling concepts.
- Experience working with healthcare or similar data-driven environments.
