Position Summary:
A career in Treasury at South Jersey Industries will provide the opportunity to encompass all treasury activities including cash and banking, capital and liquidity planning, standardization of policies and processes and new treasury solutions. Treasury team members are responsible for collaborating with the CFO, Treasurer, and other team members to oversee SJI’s financial resources and structural balance sheet positioning. [RE1] As part of the comprehensive internship program, interns will participate in events which help them build a strong network within the SJI community and with fellow interns. Interns enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid work environment throughout this 11-week summer program. The Ignite Internship Program also offers participants mentorship, educational seminars, volunteer opportunities, and visibility within the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Support the development of short-term and medium-term cash forecasts for liquidity planning purposes
- Leverage established methods and technology to assist in preparing reports on the company’s debt portfolio
- Assist in daily cash positioning and execution of borrowings
- Prepare and collaborate on a cross-functional project with the opportunity to present to the SJI Executive Leadership Team
- Regular meetings with assigned mentor and various organizational leaders to discuss goals and professional development
Qualifications:
Required Skills:
- Fundamental knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
- Detail-oriented, well-organized, and able to effectively prioritize tasks and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence internal and external teams to efficiently resolve issues and achieve goals
- Availability to work a hybrid schedule based out of our Folsom, NJ office, Monday through Friday during daytime business hours
Required Background:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or similar, with a graduation date of Fall 2025 or later
- The ideal candidate would be a rising Junior, Senior, or Master’s student, however all students are welcome for consideration
