Sr. HR Systems Support Specialist (Emeryville, CA)
LHH is teaming up with a national grocery chain in Emeryville, CA in search of an experienced HR Systems Support Specialist. This temporary role offers the opportunity to contribute to a positive work environment while playing a key role in operational success.
As a Senior HR Systems Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the security, configuration, and upkeep of the HR systems. You will oversee the entire Employee Lifecycle, from onboarding to offboarding, and handle auditing and reporting to support organizational needs. Collaborating closely with the HRIS Manager, you will also work on various projects within the HR team. Your partnerships will extend to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and Benefits teams, ensuring exceptional customer service from the HR department.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in Human Resources with at least three years of experience, particularly with HRIS platforms, preferably UKG HCM experience to manage reporting/analytics, configuration, maintenance of tables, Ultipro Time Management configurations, Onboarding and the full suite of UKG products, along with data audits. They possess excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, enabling them to effectively manage multiple projects and address employee concerns with confidence. Additionally, they demonstrate a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the HRIS Manager to gain in-depth knowledge of the UKG HRIS and Learning Management Systems and participate in special projects.
- Provide comprehensive HR support by managing processes for new hires, transfers, terminations, and reporting.
- Investigate and resolve issues while recommending process enhancements.
- Address the needs and requirements of departments and end-users.
- Engage proactively with the HR team on special initiatives.
- Offer administrative support, including handling disability claims, unemployment claims, monthly anniversary gift distributions, and department mail.
- Maintain HRIS tables in UKG as directed by the HRIS Manager.
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure data integrity.
- Assist in testing new system setups and events like employee data migrations, performance evaluations, benefits open enrollment, and learning management tasks.
- Manage the HR support email, ensuring compliance with internal service level agreements.
- Help document HR systems programs.
- Address employee account inquiries.
- Provide assistance with UKG UTM (Time Management).
- Support the HRIS Manager during SOX reviews and internal audits.
- Act as the Skillsoft (eLearning) Administrator.
- Oversee required posting boards for all GO employee locations.
- Possess a solid understanding of HR practices and procedures.
Experience:
- A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms, particularly Ultimate Software systems, is a significant advantage, especially in employee record systems, benefits, payroll, compensation, performance management, talent acquisition, and learning management.
- Proficiency in utilizing HRIS to generate and modify standard reports.
- Ability to manage multiple projects amidst ambiguity and shifting priorities.
- Strong research skills to address employee concerns and offer guidance or recommendations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of payroll processes is beneficial.
- Ability to handle all HR and payroll information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Aptitude for asking the right questions to identify the needs and expectations of others.
Worksite Type: On-site in Emeryville, CA
Pay Rate: $41-$46/hour, depending on experience
Hours: Full time, regular office hours. Monday - Friday
Duration: Contract (Start ASAP with a possibility of conversion to permanent employee)
