Position Overview:
Our client seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager to lead their underground wet utility projects. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience managing complex wet utility projects, specifically involving large diameter pipe and utility installations at depths of 15+ feet. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and a thorough understanding of the utility construction processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of underground wet utility projects, from planning through execution and close-out.
- Oversee large diameter pipe installations and deep utility trenches (15+ feet).
- Collaborate with engineers, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure projects meet safety, quality, and schedule expectations.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and resources, ensuring efficient use of labor and materials.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.
- Prepare progress reports and deliver updates to senior leadership and clients.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any project-related issues in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager in underground wet utility construction.
- Proven experience with large diameter pipe installations and working on utility projects 15+ feet deep.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, scheduling, and budgeting.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and work collaboratively with clients and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- PMP certification is a plus but not required.
