Summary
This position is responsible to oversee every aspect of IT application including software and hardware upkeep as well as telecommunication, storage, retrieve and transmission of data including servers and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) assistance.
Main Responsibilities
- Day to day IT support for multiple locations approximately 60-80 users/240 total work stations.
- Network administrator including company servers, email service, firewall and backup support.
- Work with corporate IT on network and infrastructure assessment to plan and implement appropriate upgrades, including servers, wireless access points, hardware and software upgrades.
- Maintain IT software, license and installation including any ERP system issues.
- Keep-up company hardware with new computer setup, diagnosis, repairs and support.
- Assist customer service on new customer set up, incoming EDI (SQL) and any outgoing ASN (SQL) problems.
- Work with management team on IT policies and procedures.
- Future improvement projects as assigned and developed.
Qualifications
- A degree in a technical related field or experience equivalent
- Bachelors in a technical related field is preferred.
- 5-10 years of IT services experience including software, hardware and support desk.
- 2 years of active SQL experience, preferably with EDI & ASN.
- The ability to travel 10%-25% of the time, scheduled and unscheduled travel.
- Mastery of remote desktop support and VPN setup.
- ERP software experience. Syspro experience is required.
- Experience in automotive or similar industry is preferred.
- Experience in a TS16949 certified environment a plus.
