Our client is a reputable regional General Contractor with a heavy focus on water and wastewater plants new construction and facility repairs. They are actively seeking multiple construction Project Managers to support their growth.
JOB DESCRIPTION
A Project Manager has the knowledge, skills, and experience to manage the day-to-day field operations of all aspects of a Commercial construction project.
The Project Manager is responsible for all production aspects of the project and is accountable for producing quality work that is constructed consistent with the standard's set forth in the project's contract documents, as well as performing the work in a timely and cost-effective manner, and for maintaining a safe, clean, and orderly work environment.
- Implement all safety policies and quality programs, ensuring strong performance on safety audits
- Manage the activities of subcontractors, vendors and labor, maintaining strict control over the accuracy and quality for each work activity
- Plan look-ahead schedules, maintain project schedule controls
- Prepares and oversees fee proposals for water and wastewater design work.
- Identify and report problems or deficiencies to the Director / project executives
- Document on-site activities that may impede progress or compliance to project/contract requirements
- Creates change orders to execution
- Miscellaneous purchases
- Review subcontract agreements
- Maintain strict control over the budget for each work activity
- Coordinate receipt of and inventory of all owner supplied materials
- Assist in preparation of project status report and provide complete daily reports to the SR Project Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of 4 years of construction experience as a Assistant Project Manager/Project Manager on wastewater projects (new construction preferred)
- The capability of maintaining and following a Critical Path project schedule
- A thorough understanding of and ability to maintain a current, complete set of project documents, blueprints, revisions, specifications, and related items
- General computer skills, willingness to expand the use of new technologies for scheduling and reports
- Undergraduate degree in engineering, architecture, construction work or a related discipline preferred but not required.
- Degree in construction mgt, civil engineering, or equivalent.
- PE license preferred
