Title: Consumable & Instrument Manufacturing Technician
Nature of Role: Nabsys is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the consumable and instrument manufacturing team. Ideal candidates are committed to the highest level of work quality. The position will report to the Manufacturing Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Support all instrument manufacturing operations, including the assembly of complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies using basic production tools
- Clean and test 3D printed components used within the instrument
- Track inventory and time using an MRP system
- Build consumables involving repetitive assembly
- Filling consumables – work with chemicals in a highly detail-oriented fashion. Precise filling using fluidic pumps by volume and weight.
- Disassembly of used consumables with appropriate disposal according to waste requirements
- Packaging consumables including building boxes, heat sealing product, and labeling ready for shipment or internal use
- Process, inspect, and package incoming and outgoing courier shipments per IATA regulations and TSA guidelines
- Provide the necessary freight receipt information (international, DHL, USPS, FEDEX, etc.)
- Receive all incoming shipments within GMP guidelines
- Prepare FedEx, UPS, and DHL labels for domestic mailings
- Ship completed instruments and consumables that have passed QC testing
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree with 2-4 years of experience, or a high school degree with 4-6 years of related manufacturing experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be able to read and follow detailed product documentation
- Able to work in a team environment
- Experience with an MRP system is beneficial
- Able to complete tasks by following processes and able to critically think about the manufacturing process
- Interest in technology and life science
Physical Requirement:
- Must be able to stand or sit at a workbench for extended periods of time; bend, reach, and turn as required
- Good manual dexterity is required. Must use hands for extended periods of time while assembling
- Ability to lift boxes for inventory intake and shipping
