Medical Technologist (Blood Bank):
One of Insight Global's large healthcare clients is looking for a Medical Technologist (MT) to join their team in Camden, NJ. The day-to-day responsibilities for this role include identifying blood types and antibodies, testing for viruses transmitted during transfusion, investigating harmful responses to the body or blood following transfusion, and supporting clinical staff with transfusion therapy. This individual will be supervising the collection, separation, delivery, and storage of all blood components. The position is overnight working in the Blood Bank. This induvial will be trained on day shift and then moved to the overnight position. Days scheduled can be flexible and scheduling is determined on a bi-weekly basis.
Shift: 11PM-7AM - 4x10s or 5x8s - with work 2 days every other weekend required
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 1 year of blood bank specific experience
- Experience with Ortho analyzers (vision swift) using gel, solid face, or tube testing as the methodology
- Experience with workups
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- ASCP Certification
- A bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS)
- Experience with Sunquest system (comparable to Cerner and Metatech)
- Experience with Epic Beaker
Medical Technologist (Chemistry):
One of Insight Global's large healthcare clients is looking for a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to join their team in Camden, NJ. The day-to-day responsibilities for this role include performing proper maintenance of chemical equipment, processing samples, the performance of routine and STAT laboratory testing/analysis, and quality control and reporting. The position is overnight working in the Chemistry Lab. This induvial will be trained on day shift and then moved to the overnight position. Days scheduled can be flexible and scheduling is determined on a bi-weekly basis.
Shift: 11PM-7AM - 4x10s or 5x8s - with work 2 days every other weekend required
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 2 years experience working as a medical technologist (MT) or medial labratory technologist (MLT)
- experience with chemistry maintaince and troubleshooting with blood gasses
- must be willing to learn, multitask and work independently in a fast pace environment
- must be reliable with strong communication skills
- comfortability with a high volume of trauma cases
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- ASCP Certification
- Experience with quality control troubleshooting or Bio
- Rad unity program experience - Processing using Roche Cobas System (8000 or 6000)
