What Will You Do?
Job Summary:
Ashley Global Retail is seeking an experienced technical manager to lead the development of our customer and associate facing mobile applications. Ashley’s mobile strategy is critical to its omnichannel success. To be successful, the Sr Manager of Mobile Application Development should be obsessed with the customer, leveraging data to ensure an optimum customer experience. They will also be responsible for in-store mobile experiences for both Ashley’s consumers and in-store associates.
The successful candidate will oversee a talented team of domestic and international developers, ensuring the successful delivery and continuous enhancement of solutions that drive tens of millions of dollars in annual revenue.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management:
- Lead and mentor a team of mobile application developers.
- Coordinate and manage both domestic and international development teams.
- Ensure high performance and quality standards across all projects.
Project Management:
- Oversee the development and deployment of mobile applications using Flutter for iOS and Android.
- Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources effectively.
- Facilitate smooth collaboration between different teams (design, QA, product management).
Technical Strategy:
- Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for mobile application development.
- Ensure alignment with Ashley Global Retail's overall omnichannel strategy.
- Keep abreast of new technologies and industry trends, incorporating them into the development process as appropriate.
Performance & Revenue:
- Monitor application performance and implement enhancements to improve user experience and functionality.
- Ensure the consumer-facing application drives significant revenue and meets business goals.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with retail operations to understand needs and translate them into functional applications.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to integrate promotional activities and tools within the application.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in mobile application development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in retail organizations, specifically with omnichannel strategies.
- Hands-on experience with Flutter and other mobile application development frameworks.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of managing multiple teams and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
- Understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with backend technologies and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations.

Compensation: Annual Salary = $165,000 - $185,000. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
Profit sharing is available to eligible employees; this discretionary program is dependent on the profitability of the company.
