Key responsibilities for this role will include (but not limited to):
- Provide technical assistance to local clients and the central research and development team.
- Analyze customer applications and technical requirements across various market segments.
- Identify optimal technical solutions and collaborate with customers to align expectations.
- Suggest and guide product modifications or customizations to the R&D teams as necessary.
- Address on-site technical issues related to products or systems.
- Assess competitive technologies and stay updated on industry trends.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and their applications.
- Review and understand local technical standards, participating in relevant working groups when possible.
- Lead localization efforts for new products as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful project delivery within the R&D framework.
Required and desired skillsets, experience and qualifications for this role:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; Master’s in Electrical Engineering is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in designing electrical components.
- Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
- Proficient in Pro/E, SolidWorks, CAD, and similar design tools.
- R&D project management experience is a plus.
- Excellent teamwork skills and ability to work in diverse environments.
- Innovative mindset and adaptable thinking.
- Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create excel trackers, and be able to use Word and Powerpoint for reporting/presentations via teams or in person.
