Ascendo Resources is looking for a remote ISO Security Specialist to work with a large bank based in Miami, Florida.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Security Investigations: Oversee security investigations involving applications, user accounts, and vendor interactions.
- Incident Response Management: Manage the entire incident response process, from detection to resolution, including post-incident reporting and action planning.
- Action Plan Development: Collaborate on and follow up action plans addressing recommendations from internal audits and processes.
- Policy Development Support: Contribute feedback during the development, review, and update of Information Security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Risk Assessment: Triage incoming issues to assess and determine risk levels effectively.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare metrics, documentation, and reports related to security assessments.
- Additional Responsibilities: Support various duties as required, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Issue Escalation: Escalate critical issues to senior leadership when necessary, prioritizing customer impact and ensuring timely resolutions.
- Tool Improvement Initiatives: Explore opportunities to enhance tooling for greater efficiency, benefiting both personal workflow and the engineering team.
Required Skills:
- Must have two(2)+ years' experience with Amazon Web Services(AWS).
- Business Acumen: Demonstrated ability to understand and address the needs of business stakeholders, responding promptly and effectively to their requests.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, information security, and IT concepts, with the ability to create clear technical instructions.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Robust understanding of relevant local and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines.
- Communication Skills: Effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders, fostering trusting relationships. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including report writing and presentations tailored for diverse audiences.
- Analytical Skills: Maintain focus on key issues while avoiding distractions. Collect and synthesize complex data, demonstrating strong attention to detail and applying design principles to generate creative solutions. Proficient in data analysis and persuasive writing, with experience in workload and process management.
