Monotype is looking for a Finance Business Partner to join our Strategic Finance team. This person is someone who has a proven track record supporting multiple business partners, building trusting relationships and influencing business decisions. They have experience collaborating with senior leadership on the development of KPIs, building short term and long-term strategic plans and turning those plans into measurable financial goals. As a member of the Strategic Finance team, this person will closely support our Head of Strategic Finance while also working autonomously throughout the organization. We are seeking a detail oriented, system-savvy, motivated individual with the ability to communicate across functions and to all levels of the organization. This role will give the right candidate a great opportunity to make a difference on a small team while providing critical business information for impactful decisions.
What you’ll do:
- Develop financial models and provide reporting to support investment decisions, monitor performance, and communicate key insights and actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
- Provide senior leadership with regular company performance analysis in relation to key performance metrics.
- Develop compelling and insightful visuals that help non-financial audiences quickly understand what is happening in our business
- Manage and facilitate the budget, forecasting, and planning for key initiatives.
- Build strong relationships as a trusted advisor, thinking through current & future resource allocations, as well as building models, simulations and sensitivity analyses
- Act as a financial "change agent," identifying opportunities and leading their achievement, and anticipating risks and making recommendations on how to mitigate
- Develop high-impact frameworks and metrics to improve business decision-making, prioritization, trade-offs, and financial performance as a full member of the team
- Foster learning with colleagues using analytical tools and applications to broaden data accessibility and advance our proficiency/efficiency in understanding and using the data appropriately
- Fully understand the key drivers of financial results to provide insightful reporting and analysis
- Drive organizational wide efficiencies through standardization, automation, and democratization of dashboarding and other reporting
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Finance, Accounting, Economics)
- 5+ years of Finance or Accounting work experience including planning and budgeting processes, financial forecasting, and reporting business performance results
- Advanced financial modeling
- Strong technical fundamentals such as spreadsheets (e.g., Google Sheets, MS Excel) and exposure to planning tools (Adaptive Insights, Anaplan etc.) and data/finance systems (SAP)
- Experience with BI tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau)
- Ability to display complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and to present findings in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders
- Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting
