Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Warehouse Manager assumes a key role in supervising the comprehensive spectrum of product distribution, and reverse logistics at Danby's Findlay, Ohio Warehouse. This role involves accountability for inbound and outbound freight, as well as adherence to legislative, safety, and organizational policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Support company goals by achieving volume, revenue, and profit targets, prioritizing superior customer service for building a strong reputation.
- Provide strong leadership by endorsing the organization's mission and values internally and externally, ensuring adherence among direct reports.
- Develop and implement monthly, quarterly, and annual budgets, policies, and programs for all distribution and warehousing activities.
- Manage and supervise direct reports, overseeing the movement of finished products and materials across company-operated and third-party warehouses, assigning specific duties.
- Support direct reports by communicating expectations, coaching performance, providing skill development opportunities, and holding them accountable.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures among reporting staff members.
- Manage expenses related to warehousing, shipping, and receiving.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting system.
- Determine staffing requirements, collaborate with the Warehouse management team, and oversee the interview, hiring, and training of new employees with corporate human resources support.
- Monitor third-party business and suppliers to ensure efficient and effective service provision within budgetary limits.
- Generate KPI metric reports detailing performance of the warehousing facility expenses versus budget.
- Review monthly performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
- Take responsibility for completing special projects assigned by Senior Management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or College diploma in Business, Logistics or Material Management related field, or an appropriate combination of education and practical experience.
- 5 years of direct work experience in a high paced warehouse environment
- Working experience in a warehouse that utilizes clamp truck material handling equipment is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years’ working experience in warehousing/distribution with a North American focus.

- Understanding of financial reports including budgetary guidelines and project expenditures.
- Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and NetSuite Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software
- Travel within divisions and 3PL warehouse locations on an occasional basis will be required.
