We are excited to be working with a leading New York headquartered law firm to bring in a Senior Business Development Manager to run their Energy practice. This is an exciting role for someone who has a passion in this space and will have a broad scope encompassing ESG too. The role is part of a huge investment by the firm to add seasoned BD professionals into their Marketing function and would suit an individual who wants to go on the journey with the leadership team of driving the marketing team forward.
As the SBDM you will have full strategic control for the practice group, reporting into the overall Director, therefore giving you a great platform to implement your own ideas and make a true impact on the team. Within the role you will also have support of junior colleagues, so someone who enjoys mentoring and developing those individuals would be important.
The firm are open to the idea of an experienced Business Development Manager stepping up into this role, or someone already at Senior BDM level who is motivated by a new challenge.
Core duties are:
- Be the primary and lead point for all Marketing and Business Development strategy for the firms energy practice, putting together and implementing a comprehensive business strategy for the group.
- Work in an advisory capacity to the partners on relevant industry news and topics, helping to shape and nurture the firms client relationships, this will include looking at existing clients for cross selling opportunities and potential new clients for the firm.
- Take an active role in developing new client relationship initiatives, which over time will form the basis of a key client program for the practice.
- Be involved in broader marketing activity such as tailored campaigns for the group and an external event program.
I truly believe this is an exciting role for those wishing to operate in a senior capacity, in an environment where you can truly lead and make an impact, working as part of a really collaborative team and one where you have great mid-long-term opportunities too.
