Role:
Working with the Deputy General Manager and other colleagues, the Operations AVP will be responsible for maintaining the efficient and timely processing and execution at a back office level all transactions running thru the NYA, including Loans, LCs, Securities, Yankee CDs and Deposits. This will involve reviewing documents, co-ordination of payment instructions, and releasing payments and confirmation instructions. He or she may from time to time be tasked with specific responsibilities, such as primary responsibility for all LCs, Securities or YCD activities. He or she will also be required to familiarize him or herself with operations Regulatory Reporting and support in the completion of the same when required. In the event of external or internal audits, he or she will be required to assist in the provision of any requested information pertaining to day to day operations.
Reporting Line:
To the NYA DGM.
Experience.
Candidates must have at least 10 years relevant experience working on the operations side of a commercial bank (preferably an FBO in NY). Detailed knowledge of payments systems, the back office processing of commercial banking product transactions, experience in dealing with internal and external audits of the same, knowledge of Spanish a plus.
Other requirements:
College degree level education.
Must have successfully completed minimum Regulatory (BSA/AML) training.
